Britain’s most prestigious carpet manufacturer, Axminster Carpets, is the latest flooring company to call on Fathom for a custom point-of-sale solution that reflects its premium position.

For over 250 years, Axminster Carpets has been synonymous with luxury and craftsmanship. The brand needed a new display to present its product, and which reflected its history of craft and fine quality carpet.

Amanda Graham, Head of Marketing at Axminster Carpets, elaborates: “To support a series of new product launches, we were looking for a partner to help us create a bespoke lectern. This new point of sale needed to showcase our products at their best and give significant prominence to the Axminster Carpets brand. We knew of Fathom’s reputation and following a meeting at the BGNFS, it was clear they were ideally placed to deliver on our exacting brief.”

Tasked to create a premium lectern that could incorporate an expanding collection portfolio, Fathom designed a set of complementing lecterns, each housing up to four ranges, that work perfectly as a pair or as stand-alone units.

Amanda continued, “I was extremely impressed by Matt and his Retail Display team. They understood how important the brand is to our customers and that it needed to be a focal point without compromising the carpets on display.

“The team also took on board that the stand needed to offer the ultimate in flexibility. Able to accommodate four ranges, chosen from a collection of eight, the integration of an interchangeable headboard was imperative. The results speak for themselves – the adaptable stand works perfectly, and reactions by our retail partners and their customers have been excellent.”

The two stands are now home to the Devon manufacturer’s eye-catching stocked and new woven-to-order ranges, with over 100 units now placed in stores across the country.
