To design a flagship retail display that bridges physical and digital shopping experiences, drives customer engagement and increases sales – all within a modular format adaptable to independent flooring retailers of varying sizes.

Background

Luvanto’s success with Roomvo – a visualisation tool that lets customers preview flooring in their own space – exposed a gap in their physical retail experience. Independent stores, especially those with limited space, lacked the tools to offer this level of interactivity. The result: a fragmented journey from online research to in-store visit. Fathom set about bringing the Roomvo experience into retail environments, elevating brand presence and supporting sales conversion.

The Solution

At its centre is an interactive design station with a touchscreen interface, paired with QR-enabled Roomvo integration – the first of its kind in retail display. Customers can visualise flooring options in real time, tailored to their own room layouts.

Key features include:

  • Tech console: Access to the full Luvanto range, even in smaller stores
  • Promo module: Seasonal incentives and take-home sample chips
  • Intuitive design: Encourages scanning, comparing and exploring — all from the shop floor

The Results

The display delivered a measurable sales uplift across stores, ranging from 34% to 319%. The 34% figure representing the highest year-on-year monetary gain.
